HVAR, Aug 1 (Hina) - President Stjepan Mesic said on Thursday he was satisfied the parliament had approved a new government and its programme. He maintained the government could succeed with this programme.

satisfied the parliament had approved a new government and its
programme. He maintained the government could succeed with this

"This is a step forward," Mesic said at the opening of Palace hotel
on the southern island of Hvar.
Mesic said Croatia had managed to attract investors. He pointed to
the need of urging foreign investors not to take profits abroad but
reinvest in Croatia.
The President regretted that tourism this year was not achieving
the results which were expected.
