Asked whether some progress was achieved at her talks with Serbian
officials on the apprehension of the war criminal Mladic, the ICTY
Chief Prosecutor answered "I hope."
Del Ponte met with Serbian Premier Zoran Djindjic and Interior
Minister Dusan Mihalovic, and during her talks, Montenegrin
President Milo Djukanovic was also in the building of the Serbian
government. However, it was not confirmed whether she met him as
well.
Nothing has so far been disclosed from her talks with the said
Serbian official and Yugoslav Foreign Minister Goran Svilanovic.
On Friday also, the Yugoslav federal supreme council for defence
was convened, and according to a statement issued from the office of
Yugoslav President Vojislav Kostunica, the council considered a
demand of the Hague-based tribunal relating to documents of this
council.
