BELGRADE, July 16 (Hina) - The Yugoslav national council for the cooperation with the UN war crimes tribunal in The Hague (ICTY) on Tuesday decided to free Zoran Lilic of the obligation to guard military and state secrets in
connection with events in Kosovo.

Lilic, who was the Yugoslav president from 1993 to 1997, flied to
The Hague last week to testify in the process against his successor
Slobodan Milosevic.
The Yugoslav government is expected to confirm the council's
decision on Thursday.
The Serbian government has already decided to free Lilic of the
obligation to keep the said secrets.
