ZAGREB, July 5 (Hina) - Croatia's President Stjepan Mesic said on Friday he was expecting to receive Premier Ivica Racan's resignation in the course of the day, although no meeting with Racan had been scheduled for Friday.

"I expect it in the course of the day," Mesic said, answering a
reporter's question whether he had received the premier's
resignation.
Asked whether he would meet PM Racan today, the head of state
responded that he did not still know it.
