Clinton and Lagumdzija held talks on the margins of the fifth annual
symposium on the management of changes and conflicts in countries
in transition and Europe's role in the world, which is held on the
Greek island of Samos.
The Dayton agreement stopped the war too late and it is only a
foundation on which one must build institutions and a
constitutional and legal framework which will be to the benefit of
all citizens and facilitate the country's economic recovery and
admission to European associations, Clinton and Lagumdzija
concluded.
This year's symposium is attended by numerous officials and
prominent figures, including Croatian Foreign Minister Tonino
Picula, a winner of the Nobel Prize for Economy and World Bank
advisor, Joseph Stiglitz, British Foreign Secretary Jack Straw,
and others.
