HR-BULLETIN-Politika BRIEF NEWS BULLETIN IN ENGLISH NO. 4650 HINA ZAGREB, JUNE 14 PARLIAMENT ADOPTS CENTRAL BANK'S ANNUAL REPORT FOR 2001ZAGREB, June 14 (Hina) - The Croatian parliament on Friday adopted an annual Croatian National Bank (HNB) report for the year 2001, and a draft strategy for the pension and welfare systems. Also adopted was a conclusion binding the central bank to submit to parliament within 30 days a report on the work of the HNB's supervision and control sector since its establishment. The central bank has also been obliged to carry out within 30 days a control of loans business banks approved for the purchase of shares and assets of companies, banks, and other financial institutions. The HNB should notify parliament about its findings and, if illegal activities were discovered, the state prosecutor's office as well.
