AIH proposed that the six month period for military service be made
equal to community service which would last for eight months under
the bill. There should be a clear definition that community service
can replace military service AIH's director, Milena Beader said on
Tuesday.
She announced that AIH and other non-government organisations
would continue lobbying for community service to be covered by a
more favourable law.
At a press conference, she presented a report that since the
beginning of the year until May, about 2400 youths had requested
that they be considered for community service.
