The branch said in Tuesday's statement, signed by president Ivan
Perkusic, that in the future, war veterans with the highest
disability degree will have to pay an average of 400 kuna (EUR55)
for daily medical rehabilitation.
These war veterans need rehabilitation twice a year, 21 days each
time, which means it will cost them 13,000-15,000 kuna (approx.
EUR2,055), read the statement.
Strongly criticising the government's treatment of disabled and
other war veterans, HVIDR-a's Split-Dalmatia County branch said
the ruling coalition "continues to cut all elementary rights of
Croatian war veterans" and stages "rigged trials, for example the
'Lora case' (where) politics is the judge, and not law and
justice."
