The Social Liberal Party (HSLS) decided not to return to the
parliament hall, which means it will not be able to secure the
necessary quorum for voting, parliamentary president Zlatko Tomcic
told MPs. He did not exclude the possibility that they might
subsequently be called back into the hall.
"I am not certain about whether there will be any subsequent
invitations to the session, perhaps tomorrow or Monday, about which
you will be informed," Tomcic told the MPs.
If this does not happen, the 23rd session will continue on
Wednesday.
Tonight's adjournment is an end to a day-long discussion on a motion
that the parliament ratify the agreement between the Croatian and
Slovene governments about Krsko. The discussion deeply divided the
ruling coalition and the opposition, but also the coalition
itself.
A way out of the new coalition crisis is being discussed at a meeting
among the leaders of the five parties and parliamentary benches at
the parliamentary president's cabinet.
