At a press conference in Pristina, Steiner claimed that the people
in Kosovo had achieved some important results on June 12, 1999.
Amongst the most important achievements over the past three years,
Steiner highlighted the drastic fall in the rate of crime, economic
revival, return of displaced persons.
Steiner claimed that the international community had invested over
2 billion euros into that region.
Steiner believes the greatest achievement this year is the
convening of a multiethnic Kosovo government.
Priorities in the future include the continuing fight against
organised crime and corruption, and the continuing return of
minority groups and their integration into society.
