Following a criminal investigation in Karlovac, Boljkovac will
later this evening be taken before the investigating judge in
Zagreb County Court, one of the four courts in Croatia authorised to
handle crimes investigated by the Office for the Prevention of
Corruption and Organised Crime (USKOK).
The State Judicial Council stripped judge Juraj Boljkovac of
immunity following a request by the USKOK and charges that he
accepted EUR15,000 in bribe money so that a particular person could
be released from prison.
