Bajgoric is the first person to have been arrested for being
involved in secretly stashed weapons whose locations were recently
uncovered in eastern Mostar. So far, more than 9,000 shells and
three tonnes of gun powder have been found in the secret warehouses,
while SFOR is searching for 4,000 more shells which, they said, are
hidden in Mostar.
Bajgoric was the head of a military production line for the
Herzegovina area in 1995 and 1996. Bosnian Federation's Defence
Minister Mijo Anic told Hina by telephone that he had lifted the
obligation for Bajgoric to keep state and military secrets.
Herzegovina-Neretva police issued a statement saying that criminal
charges have been filed against Bajgoric and three other suspects.
