The project E-Munis (Electronic Municipal Information Services) is
aimed at introducing information services into the municipal
administration, and improving Internet services and business
communication. The project is run by a consortium, headed by
Fraunhofer Institute for Telecooperation from Vienna. It includes
the cities of Bonn, Genoa, Salonika, Sofia, Valladolido, Skopje and
Rijeka, and leading information companies.
The project envisages the transfer and adoption of the best
solutions and computer applications in the work of the city
administration, the provision of services to the citizens of the
European Union, and the development of test applications and their
distribution among cities participating in the project.
Rijeka has supported the admission of Dubrovnik, Split, Pula and
Varazdin into the project.
Minister Mimica said that the Ministry would help the project in
cooperation with the government's Office for Internetisation.
