On April 1, the European Union introduced a ban for all Russian
flights because they are noisy and do not meet today's flight safety
standards.
As plane noise causes cracks on buildings and national and cultural
monuments, the Ministry has decided to introduce, as a temporary
measure, special routes for Russian planes landing at the Split and
Dubrovnik airports.
Three airlines which have Russian planes land in Croatia - East Line
Airlines, Lithuanian and Krasnoyarsk Airlines, each with more than
25 tourist flights to Croatia.
Croatia will apply instructions by the European Conference of Civil
Aviation with regard to Russian planes as soon as they are adopted,
the Ministry said.
