The Sarajevo-based daily "Oslobodjenje" reported on Tuesday that
the government of the Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina had been
requested to include in the investigation the High Saudi Committee
for Aid to Bosnia-Herzegovina, an organisation which has invested
tens of millions of dollars for different projects in the country so
far.
The Federation's financial police should also check the activities
of "Human Appeal International", "Human Relief International" and
"International Islamic Relief Organisation - IGASA".
The co-ordination team has also decided to investigate the
activities of "Aktivna islamska omladina" (AIO -Active Islamic
Youth), an association which has organised a series of events in
support of Islamic movements and governments throughout the world,
promoting militant Islam. The association also organised
demonstrations in Sarajevo against the hand-over of six Algerians
suspected of connection with Al-Qaida.
Along with AIO, the police will also investigate the activities of
the NEDWE student grant organisation and the "Dzematu-l-Furkuan"
organisation.
Enama Arnaut, a Syrian with Bosnian citizenship who was recently
arrested in America on suspicion of financing the activities of Al-
Qaida, directly ordered that documents on the activities of
"Benevolentia International Foundation" and its legal successor
"Bosanska idealna futura" be hidden. FBI is trying to establish
what the organisation spent more than a million dollars for.
