Pavlic also spoke about two cases of abduction of local Serbs, who
were later found dead on Mt. Velebit. Uniformed persons who carried
out the abductions did not have official documents, but permits
with the signatures of indictees Ivica Rozic and Mirko Norac,
Pavlic said.
Today's hearing also saw a verbal conflict between indictee Tihomir
Oreskovic and a court policeman, judge Ika Saric said.
Saric said that the panel of judges decided to discontinue the
hearing and call the ambulance as Oreskovic felt sick due to high
blood pressure. As court physician was not working, the ambulance
had to be called, Saric said, adding she would inform the competent
ministry and prison warden about the incident, which she said was
the main reason for the discontinuation of the hearing.
Oreskovic's attorney Zeljko Olujic told reporters the incident in
question was not a verbal conflict, but the police officer
prevented Oreskovic from addressing his attorney in the court's
hall. Olujic claimed that other indictees were allowed to speak to
their attorneys. This is the reason why Oreskovic's condition
worsened, he said.
The trial will resume on Thursday, May 2.
