"Last Friday Bundesrat ratified the SAA," Palmer said after talks
with Croatian European Integration Minister Neven Mimica.
The SAA also needs to be ratified by the German Parliament's Lower
House, which it is expected to do in October.
Mimica and Palmer told a brief news conference that they had reached
an agreement on expert, technical and consultant assistance of
Baden-Wuerttemberg to Croatia in the justice system sphere.
Palmer said that he had told Mimica that Germany had a positive
attitude towards individual approach to the EU and Croatia becoming
an official candidate for the second round of the organisation's
expansion.
Mimica said he had acquainted Palmer with all activities Croatia
was undertaking during its rapprochement to the EU.
