ZAGREB, April 16 (Hina) - The Croatian government's co-ordinating
body for internal and foreign affairs on Tuesday discussed a report
on the work of the ombudsman in 2001. #L#
The government decided to instruct all ministries to take all
necessary measures so that problems the ombudsman warned about in
his report will not keep reoccurring, the government's public
relations office said in a statement.
The co-ordinating body also decided to forward to the government a
draft protocol on the principles for the identification -
establishment of the border and preparations for an agreement on
the state border between Croatia and Yugoslavia. The text of the
protocol was formulated by the Commission on Borders and endorsed
by the government's Council for Borders.
The basis for the establishment of the borderline is the borderline
between former Yugoslav republics, as well all cadastral and other
relevant documentation.
The sea border will be determined through negotiations, in line
with the principles of international law, and taking as a starting
point the U.N.'s Law of the Sea Convention of 1982.
