Party, Dusan Bajatovic, said on Wednesday. #L#
"They are in the country, that's all I know, and if I knew more I
wouldn't tell you," Bajatovic told reporters in Belgrade. He added
he did not know where exactly his party colleagues were but did know
that "they have no intention of surrendering to the International
Tribunal at The Hague."
The Serbian Interior Ministry today refuted an article in the
Belgrade daily Glas Javnosti which said that "Stojiljkovic has been
arrested, while Sainovic is guarded by the Interior Ministry."
Bajatovic criticised the Serbian government over a decree on
cooperation with the Hague war crimes tribunal. The fact that the
decree was signed by Deputy Prime Minister and leader of the
Alliance of Vjovodina Hungarians Jozef Kasa "has elicited bad
comments among the people" as it reminds many "of 1942, when
Hungarian fascist Miklos Horti signed a decision on the deportation
of Serbs, Jews and the Romany," he said.
