ZAGREB, March 28 (Hina) - The European Commission (EC) has prepared

its first session after Easter holidays next Wednesday, sources at
the EC said on Thursday. #L#
After the report is adopted, it will be sent to the Council of
Ministers and European Parliament, after which it will be released,
probably next Thursday.
It was previously announced that the EC would adopt the report
yesterday, but the Commission failed to discuss the whole agenda
due to technical reasons.
The annual report on the situation in the SAP countries - Croatia,
Bosnia-Herzegovina, Macedonia, Yugoslavia and Albania - is the
first such report on the five countries, drawn up according to the
model of annual reports on EU candidate-countries.
According to unofficial reports, the part of the report referring
to Croatia's implementation of the Stabilisation and Association
Agreement has a positive tone, but it also points to the need for a
speedier regulation of some political issues, such as the adoption
of laws on minorities and the media, as well as the problem of
refugee return.
