BELGRADE, March 24 (Hina) - Around 10,000 Serbs, followers of Slobodan Milosevic and radical Vojislav Seselj, gathered in central Belgrade on Sunday to mark the third anniversary of the beginning of NATO strikes on Yugoslavia.
Protesters at the rally, supported by Milosevic's Socialist Party of Serbia, condemned the extradition to the U.N. war crimes tribunal in The Hague. The protesters marched to the Serbian government building, demanding early elections. They also laid a wreath in memory of those killed in the air strikes. NATO launched the 78-day bombing campaign to end Serb repression of ethnic Albanians in Kosovo. Milosevic was forced to pull Serb forces out of the province.(hina) it
