Mesic reiterated that the Monterrey conference was held at the very last moment. He said that unequal development and divisions between rich and poor are threatening everyone. "A development process which will be to the benefit of both, rich and poor, must take place," the Croatian president said. He said that the globalisation of becoming richer and poorer should be replaced with the development globalisation. On the last day of the summit, Friday, George W.
