HINA Zagreb, March 17, 2002CROATS EVICTED FROM SERB HOUSES IN DRVAR SETTLE IN KNINKNIN/GOLUBIC, March 17 (Hina) - Representatives of the UNHCR, the Red Cross, an association of settled and displaced Croats and Caritas on Saturday night welcomed another 13 Croat families from Bosnia-Herzegovina who sought refuge in Croatia after being evicted from Serb houses in Drvar. At present, about 40 families, including children are accommodated in barracks of the former Yugoslav army in Golubic. They are provided with drinking water and basic necessities. Assistant Public Works Minister Lovre Pejkovic on Thursday said it is expected that several thousands of people would enter Croatian areas of Knin, Gracac and Benkovac, predominantly Croats from Central Bosnia and Republika Srpska who fled their homes during the war in Bosnia and settled in empty houses in Drvar from which they now have to move out.
