HINA Zagreb, March 10, 2002JANICA KOSTELIC ENDS SEASON WITH WORLD CUP SLALOM RACE WINFLACHAU, March 10 (Hina) - Triple Olympic champion Janica Kostelic ended the Alpine ski season winning a slalom race in Austria's Flachau on Sunday.
Kostelic, who became the most successful Alpine skier in history at last month's Olympic Games in Salt Lake City, moved up from fifth place after the first leg to win in one minute 54.66 seconds, ahead of Anja Paerson and Ylva Nowen. It was the Janica's first World Cup win this season. She had a slow start to the winter's racing due to three knee operations last year. The 20-year old Croatian, who dominated the slalom in last year's World Cup and also took the overall title, crowned a successful weekend for the Kostelic family, after her older brother Ivica took the men's slalom World Cup on Saturday. Ivica and Janica are trained by their father Ante Kostelic.PM TO INFORM PRESS ABOUT HIS SDP'S ST
