The police issued a statement in Sarajevo saying the raid was
carried out in line with an order by the Federation Supreme Court.
The investigators have questioned the organisation's management
and temporarily confiscated documents found in the offices. The
investigation into the organisation's activities will resume.
There have been no reports on any arrests.
"Benevolentia International Fundation" is based in the United
States. It has been mentioned, together with the humanitarian
organisation Al-Haramain, as a link in the organisation of
terrorist operations by radical Islamic groups, including Osama
bin Laden's Al-Qaida.
Since September 11, 2001, a special anti-terrorist coordinating
team in Bosnia-Herzegovina has concentrated its efforts on the
discovery of possible links between Islamic non-government
organisations which have been operating in the country with
terrorist organisations.
