HERCEG NOVI, March 16 (Hina) - Montenegrin Foreign Minister Branko Lukovac said on Saturday that Montenegro would be independent once it was "mature and ready enough". Lukovac made the statement at an international conference on
stability and cooperation in the region, which is held in Herceg Novi. The Belgrade agreement on the redefinition of relations in the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, under which the new state is called Serbia and Monetenegro, marks the beginning of new relations between Serbia and Montenegro and sets the framework and principles for Montenegro's rapprochement with trans-Atlantic and integration processes. "Montenegro has every right, as any other former Yugoslav state, to be the master of its own destiny and establish relations with others and enter integration processes on its own," Lukovac said.(hina) rml
