ZAGREB, Feb 28 (Hina) - The Croatian government on Friday starts the implementation of programmes that envisage the employment of 14,000 jobless, mostly less employable people, this year. As of tomorrow, the regional offices of the
Croatian Employment Bureau (HZZ) will accept employers' requests for certain profiles of workers, who will be offered in a single data base. The entering of data on available labour is underway. In principle, each of the 411,000 jobless is a potential user of the programme, but the HZZ estimates that only every 30th unemployed will meet the set requirements. This year's budgetary funds for the programmes amount to around 180 million kuna, and the state will spend 13,000 kuna for employment subsidies per person on the average. By the year 2006 the government intends to employ 36,700 jobless, which will cost 1.2 billion kuna. The government will launch six separate programmes - "
