ZAGREB, Feb 27 (Hina) - The average grade of Croatia's promotion in the country and the world is 3.3. The grade was calculated as the arithmetic mean of 970 persons questioned in a survey conducted by the Prizma Research agency
between February 17 and 24. The survey results were presented on Wednesday at a round table entitled "Marketing of the Croatian State", which was organised by the Croatian Employers' Association and the Croatian Community of Marketing Associations. A total of 38 percent of those questioned did not respond to the question, "Which institutions and/or individuals should promote Croatia in the world, as well as at home?". A fourth of those questioned believe the promoters should be athletes, the president and his office (16 percent), and the premier and his government (15 percent), while around 10 percent opted for the Foreign Ministry and the Tourism Ministry. Tourism was stated by 44 percent as the most important thing in the
country's promotion, while 18 percent mentioned the sea, followed
by nature and sports/athletes (13-14 percent).
Among food stuffs, as the most recognisable or the best Croatia has
to present or offer, 37 percent stated wines, while 21 percent
Vegeta, a food additive. Thirteen percent chose sea food and sea
delicacies, while a tenth of the questioned mentioned the Slavonian
"kulen" (paprika-flavoured sausage), Dalmatian smoked ham,
various meat types (lamb, veal), and olive oil.
