ZAGREB, Feb 1 (Hina) - Forum 21, an association of journalists of the Croatian electronic media, has described as biased and unbalanced this week's Croatian Television (HTV) programme "Latinica", which focused on the situation in the
Croatian judiciary. The association also condemned pressures exerted on Croatian Radio Television (HRT) by the State Prosecutor's Office. The association expects the HRT's new editorial team to once and for all put an end to the practice of advertising law firms, rivalry between political and financial lobbies in HTV programmes, and the promotion of groups which are breaking the law, i.e. the type of journalism which serves interests groups "including those wishing to gain control over the television programme by using mob-style methods," says the Forum 21 statement.(hina) sb rml
