ZAGREB, Feb 20 (Hina) - The Croatian government said on Wednesday it was satisfied with a decision of the UN war crimes tribunal at The Hague to release Croatian general Rahim Ademi pending trial, "because of General Ademi and his
family, and because of the confidence expressed in Croatian state institutions." The government reminds in a statement that while visiting the tribunal on Feb. 1, Deputy Prime Minister Goran Granic had offered guarantees of the Croatian government and President Stjepan Mesic. All obstacles to the approval of the release request were eliminated last week when the government delivered to the tribunal's investigators 806 documents about events in the Medak Pocket area. Ademi arrives in Croatia tomorrow, accompanied by an employee of the Croatian Embassy in the Netherlands.(hina) ha sb
