BRUSSELS-Politika EU TO LEAD POLICE MISSION IN BOSNIA NEXT YEAR BRUSSELS, Feb 18 (Hina) - The European Union has decided to approve the sending of a police mission to Bosnia (EUPM) in 2003 to replace the current International Police
Task Force in the country. The EUPM will contribute to the implementation of the peace accords in Bosnia and of the EU's general policy in the region, that is, the process of stabilisation and association, the EU Council of Ministers said in its conclusions. This is a historic decision. The mission will began functioning on January 1, 2003 and will last for three years with the possibility of extension, Spanish Foreign Minister chairing the Council of Ministers, Josep Pique, said.(hina) lml
