According to sources close to a Croatian delegation accompanying
Mesic, the President also met Deputy Prime Minister Addullah
Badawi. The two officials held talks on the advancement of
bilateral relations, investments, tourism, and cooperation in
education.
"Today's talks are a good foundation for overall cooperation, but
we concluded something else as well, namely that we can establish a
tripartite cooperation with Bosnia and Herzegovina," said Mesic.
Croatia may represent a route by which Malaysian product can access
the European market, while Malaysia may become a strategic market
for Croatian goods, said Mesic.
He added cooperation could also be expanded into culture and
sports.
Earlier today the two countries signed an agreement on the
avoidance of double taxation.
