Sources close to the Croatian delegation accompanying Mesic on his
official visit said Mesic voiced his views on the current situation
in the world. Speaking about international terrorism, he said it
should be fought against on two fronts: directly, and in removing
the causes, which is primarily poverty.
The president stressed that developed countries should do much more
in this sense. The Thailand premier fully agreed with Mesic.
Mesic told reporters the two had confirmed the possibility of
cooperation on the political and economic plans.
Mesic and his host attended the signing of an agreement between
Croatia and Thailand on the mutual rescinding of visas for
diplomatic and official passports.
Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn received President Mesic on behalf
of the royal family.
