ZAGREB, Feb 13 (Hina) - With a significantly less growth of exports, Croatia has had a record trade deficit in the past several years. Croatia's overall exports from January until December of last year amounted to 4.66 billion
dollars, which is a 5.1 increase in comparison to the previous year. According to the State Bureau of Statistics, the value of imported goods rose by 14.7 percent. More than nine billion dollars were thus imported into Croatia last year. Due to such movements, the deficit in last year's trade amounted almost to 4.4 billion dollars (4.384 billion). In relation to the year before, the foreign trade deficit rose by 26.9 percent. Exports covered imports only by 51.5 percent.(hina) lml
