LJUBLJANA, Jan 31 (Hina) - Slovene President Milan Kucan assessed that despite statements about good neighbourly relations heard in Slovenia and Croatia, the two countries' relations were not as good as relations between two
neighbouring countries should be. Kucan told Studio D radio station from Novo Mesto the Croatian public was convinced that in its relations with Croatia, Slovenia was taking advantage of its "better position in the international community", but that this was not the case. As for the bordering area of Piran Bay, he said that negotiations on the matter actually referred to the division of "sea that was once undivided." Kucan said the two governments should inform one another in advance on mutual issues and decisions in order to prevent any surprises.(hina) np ha
