ZAGREB, Jan 31 (Hina) - The Croatian government confirmed its clear stance on measures passed for the control of the transport of hazardous substances (including oil and oil products) at a closed-door session Thursday, the
government's PR office said. The government clearly opts for introducing order to the transport of hazardous matter with an aim of preventing grey economy and protecting the environment. The measures the government passed on January 24 are securing necessary and equal conditions for a free flow of passengers and cargo regardless of the hauliers. The government is aware the measures have the hardest impact on domestic producers and hauliers, but it expects everyone to contribute to fighting crime and reaching a higher level of eco-protection. The government is willing to negotiate possible further improvements within concepts of road corridors used for the transport of hazardous matter
