ZAGREB, Jan 28 (Hina) - The Croatian government hopes that Bosnia-
Herzegovina will withdraw the contentious decision by the Bosnian
Council of Ministers to temporarily restrict the import of oil and
oil products from Croatia by road, the government's spokeswoman,
Aleksandra Kolaric, told Hina Monday.
A Croatian government delegation, headed by Maritime Affairs,
Transport and Communications Minister Alojz Tusek, will hold talks
with Bosnian Trade and Economic Relations Minister, Azra
Hadziahmetovic, in Sarajevo on Tuesday.
The goal of the Croatian government is to improve partnership
relations with neighbouring countries in fighting grey economy and
crime, Kolaric said ahead of the meeting on Tuesday.
According to data by the Croatian Interior Ministry, 57 cisterns
with oil, most of them with Bosnian registration plates, are
currently located at three border crossings between Croatia and
Bosnia-Herzegovina.
The Bosnian Council of Ministers on January 17 made a decision
forbidding the import of oil and oil products by road from Croatia,
as of January 20. The same day, the Council said the decision was
made in response to the "discriminatory decision by neighbouring
Croatia," and expressed readiness to try and find an appropriate
solution for the problem through negotiations with Croatian
representatives at the highest level of authority.
The Croatian delegation will also include Tusek's assistant,
assistants to the interior minister, foreign minister,
environmental protection minister, finance minister and to the
economy minister.
