ZAGREB, Jan 24 (Hina) - The Croatian parliament on Thursday morning discussed a draft national strategy of environmental protection, which defines objectives in the area of environmental protection in line with European standards.
Presenting the strategy, Environmental Protection Minister Bozo Kovacevic said the document also determined institutions in charge of implementing the strategy. Investments envisaged in the strategy will cost around USD10 billion, Kovacevic said. The strategy was endorsed by all parliamentary benches, which agreed that it was high time to adopt such a document but warned that a set of related laws, such as a law on municipal economy, would have to be adopted to implement the strategy.(hina) sb rml
