ZAGREB, Jan 15 (Hina) - The Croatian parliament on Wednesday starts its 19th session, the first one in this year, with question time, during which government members will answer MPs' questions. The session is expected to last two
weeks, until January 25, by which time MPs should discuss some 30 items. By the end of January the parliament should adopt laws on the stimulation of small businesses and the new ID card as well as laws in the first reading regulating the securities market, the take-over of joint stock companies, and games of chance. The government and competent ministries have forwarded to the parliament for consideration several strategies - on environmental protection, Croatia's cultural development in the 21st century, and information and communication technology.
