PRISTINA, Jan 11 (Hina) - French diplomat Pascal Fiesch has been appointed new head of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Mission in Kosovo and is expected to arrive in the province next week, the Mission
headquarters in Pristina said on Friday. Fiesch replaces Daan Evert of the Netherlands, who had headed the Kosovo OSCE Mission since 1999. Fiesch has a long diplomatic career and has served in Ukraine, Prague, St. Petersburg, Athens, Moscow and Canberra. He also took part in negotiations about the Helsinki Document, the basic document of the Conference on European Security and Cooperation, which was transformed into the OSCE in 1994.(hina) rml
