ZAGREB, Dec 16 (Hina) - The Premier-Designate and the president of
the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ), Ivo Sanader, introduced some

political programme on Tuesday evening. #L#
The HDZ Vice-President, Jadranka Kosor, will be a vice-premier and
at the helm of the new ministry of family, war veterans' affairs and
inter-generation solidarity.
HDZ parliamentarian Vladimir Seks will be Sabor president.
Zadar mayor Bozidar Kalmeta will be at the helm of the ministry of
transport, maritime affairs and development.
Another HDZ senior official, Andrija Hebrang, will be health
minister.
Velika Gorica mayor Ivan Suker fill be finance minister.
Sanader declined to give more details on candidates for the culture
minister. He would not say whether a Democratic Centre (DC)
representative would hold office of justice minister and whether
the Croatian Social Liberal Party (HSLS) would have its member at
the helm of some other ministry.
Asked if it was possible to form a broad coalition of the HDZ and the
Social Democrats (SDP), the HDZ chief dismissed this possibility.
He, however, added that parliamentary cooperation was possible
when some legal solutions required parties' consensus.
He went on to say that democracy in Croatia was now more mature and
voiced confidence that solutions important for the country's
future would be backed by the SDP, the HNS (Croatian People's Party)
and the HSS (the Croatian Peasant Party), too.
Commenting on plans on some ministries' mergers, he said a final
decision would be made after consultations with experts.
He reiterated that Croatia would fully cooperate with the Hague-
based war crimes tribunal.
Concerning some rumours about new indictments from The Hague,
Sanader said he had no knowledge of the arrival of new indictments
during the Christmas and New Year holidays. The outgoing premier,
Ivica Racan, whom he met earlier in the day for talks, also told him
that no new indictments should be expected soon.
