HSU parliamentary deputies will support the government-sponsored
bills and vote for them in line with today's agreement and the HSU's
programme.
Under the agreement, the new government has bound itself to, among
other things, change the method of pension adjustment in the first
100 days of its term, to make pensions follow increases in salaries
of all employees in Croatia and calculate into pensions an
additional 100 kuna and six percent of the June 1998 pension.
The new government has also committed itself to drawing up and
forwarding to parliament by June 30, 2004 a bill on the
implementation of the Constitutional Court decision of 12 May 1998
defining the calculation and repayment of the state debt to
pensioners in line with the country's economic possibilities.
