"This is not overall support, but support on a case-to-case basis.
As long as the prime minister-elect sticks to the agreement, he will
have our support in the Sabor," Jordan said at a press conference in
Zagreb, adding that the three HSU representatives would confirm
their support in writing.
Asked how the debt to pensioners would be repaid, he said that in the
next six months the HSU and the HDZ would draft a bill for the
implementation of the decision of the Constitutional Court of 20
May 1998 on the repayment of the debt to pensioners.
Jordan said that his party and the HDZ would propose amendments to
the Law on Pension Insurance to prevent "disgraceful differences"
in pensions for the same number of years of service.
