MOSTAR/SARAJEVO, Dec 2 (Hina) - Croatian President Stjepan Mesic
has said the current Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) party, led by
Ivo Sanader, is not the HDZ he left a decade ago. #L#
Mesic made the statement on Monday in "60 Minutes", a Bosnian
Federation TV programme, commenting on the results of Croatia's
Nov. 23 parliamentary election which the HDZ won.
Mesic, who left the HDZ in 1994, said Sanader's HDZ was using a
different rhetoric. "We'll see what its results will be".
Speaking about Croatia-Bosnia relations, Mesic said Croatia would
continue cooperating with Bosnia-Herzegovina and Bosnian Croats.
"The best cooperation sees Croatia participating in the revival of
Bosnia-Herzegovina's economy, notably in parts of the country
inhabited by Croats".
He said the most important thing for the two neighbouring countries
was the fight for Croatia's integration into Europe.
