Tomcic told reporters after the meeting that he and Sanader focused
on the two parties' orientation and possible compatibility of their
programmes.
Sanader said the two parties are drawing closer to an agreement. He
stressed that issues regarding better living standards was what
Croatian voters were interested in the most.
We pointed to basic economic problems in the country but we did not
discuss anything beyond that, Tomcic said.
Sanader and Tomcic believe that the talks between the two parties'
groups of experts regarding economic issues could be completed by
the end of the week.
