ZAGREB, Nov 26 (Hina) - Croatian Peasant Party (HSS) president Zlatko Tomcic confirmed at about noon Wednesday that he had talked on the phone with Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) president Ivo Sanader, but declined to reveal any
details of their conversation.

On Wednesday morning, Tomcic and his closest aides from the HSS,
held a meeting in Tomcic's office in the parliament.
After the meeting, they did not want to say anything to reporters
and would not comment on possibilities of their party forming a
ruling coalition with the HDZ.
Ante Markov, the HSS leader for Dalmatia, told reporters that he
happened to be at the meeting and added that no mention had been made
of a possible coalition.
Another two HSS officials, Zeljko Pecek and Luka Trconic, who also
attended the meeting, declined to talk to the press.
After leaving his office shortly before noon, Tomcic did not reveal
whether he would meet Sanader later in the day. In recent days the
Tomcic-Sanader meeting was announced for Wednesday.
According to unofficial sources, the two may meet in the HDZ's
offices at 14:00 hrs today.
