"An electioneering ban is in force and this silence is good after
all the noise, but that does not mean we should not be active. One
should think about what has been done, what could have been done,
and what should be done after tomorrow's vote," Mesic said.
The president visited stands set up in a square in central Zagreb by
Radio 101 and non-governmental organisations as part of a campaign
dubbed "Close your nose and vote" and "With noise against silence",
which was launched to encourage as many voters as possible,
especially women and young people, to go to the polls.
