ZAGREB, Nov 21 (Hina) - At a plenary session of the Alps-Adriatic Working Community held in the Hungarian town of Keszthely on Thursday, Croatia received strong support for its efforts to join the European Union as soon as possible,
the Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Friday.

The meeting was attended by Assistant Foreign Minister Darko Bekic
in his capacity as an envoy of Prime Minister Ivica Racan.
The meeting adopted a resolution marking the 25th anniversary of
the existence of the community, currently chaired by Hungary, and
the historic enlargement of the European Union to include ten new
countries next year.
