ZAGREB, Nov 20 (Hina) - A few parties and independent lists presented their programmes during Croatian Television (HTV) broadcasts on Thursday evening. #L# One of them was the Action of Social Democrats of Croatia (ASH) the president of which, Zlatko Klaric, said the party was sticking to a course of action which its outstanding member, the late Ante Miko Tripalo, defined while promoting a democratic, socially sensitive, law-based and civic Croatia. Anto Kovacevic of the Croatian Christian Democratic Union (HKDU) told the TV audience that a radical change was necessary in the country and that those "who sold out Croatia and gave false promises" should be removed from power. In his speech marked by stylistic figures, Kovacevic said Croatia was divided into those being persecuted and symbolised by the fate of the runaway general Ante Gotovina, those who were 'jailed' and the case of imprisoned General Mirko Norac epitomised their fate, and the third category which included secret agents who worked against Croatia and who bought Croatia's wealth. Drago Mintas who presented the programme of the Civil-Democratic Party (GDS), suggested that MPs should be elected of one-year-long term of office. He accused European power-wielders of plans for taking possession of Croatian houses, hotels, construction sites and sea. The Christian-Social Union (KSU) informed the TV audience that it was promoting the restoration of moral values. (hina) ms sb
