ZAGREB, Nov 20 (Hina) - The Croatian People's Party (HNS) will win

take over governing the country with the so-called coalition of the
left on Monday, HNS leader Vesna Pusic said on Thursday. #L#
"The HNS will multiply its seats in parliament tenfold," she said
presenting the party's candidates in constituency no. 1, where she
heads the slate.
"The coalition's victory will be narrow, but landslide victories
are typical only of the initial stages of democracy, so this is
another sign that Croatia is becoming a normal democracy," Pusic
told reporters.
Asked if she agreed with the media's assessment that in last night's
TV duel, Social Democratic Party leader Ivica Racan and HDZ leader
Ivo Sanader showed that their platforms concurred in everything bar
taxes, Pusic said "that's not true".
"The opinion of only one representative of the incumbent coalition
(Racan) was heard in that duel. This government's problem has
always been insufficient determination and a lacking presentation
of results, which will be different in the next, leftist coalition
government because of a completely new balance of powers among the
coalition's parties," Pusic said.
